Note: 'The War of the Chosen' DLC Campaign is a separate option in the Main Menu and won't retroactively apply to existing saves if it's installed after starting the game for the first time. The DLC is incorporated into the normal campaign so be prepared for both the avatar project progress and the Chosen's knowledge meter where if it gets maxed out, you will have to fight for your survival. While at the same time battling against the avatar project timer from the main game. Your ultimate goal is to locate 'The chosen' with covert missions from the new resistance ring building and kill them in their strongholds, before they find the commander.
The DLC also adds 3 new resistance factions with whom you have to establish contact and when you do you'll be rewarded with the 3 new classes: The reaper (A Sharpshooter type), The Skirmisher (has a grappling hook so he is very mobile on the battlefield) and the Templar (A Psionic type). The Chosen are boss type enemies, each with their unique strengths and weaknesses but can pop during on any mission when you least expect it so be prepared commander! The War of the Chosen DLC includes an almost complete overhaul of the main game and adds new weapons, enemies, missions and of the 3 new uber baddies called 'The Chosen', who consist of an Assassin, Warlock and Hunter. delaying the avatar project and doubling the mission timer but if you activate them, you will have to deactivate the Introductory mission and miss out on the Lost and Abandoned mission which is required for a trophy.
